We have recently been experimenting with the #corona game engine to build our #2D games for IOS, #Google Play Store & #HTML. The language is #lua based which is currently the leading scripting language in games and has been utilized in Warcraft, Angry Birds, Civilization and many other popular franchises.
We recently started experimenting with Apple #spritekit in developing some mobile game concepts. A really nice aspect of sprite kit is the particle emitter that can be attached on 2D objects to create some amazing effects.
