This app was developed as their was an apparent gap in the market before Facebook added a different app dedicated to events. Using this app users could then determine what events were happening closest to them and which of their friends were going to that event. This app was also developed purely native on both platforms (Objective C for IOS and Java for Android).
Using the easy swiping functionality of #tinder there have been many new apps that have leveraged this and used it to create sales based apps that apply the same logic. We setup the base for this type of app using a #rubyonrails backend to upload items and the app in #objectivec using a few helpful libraries.
Today we are working on creating two native apps with data linked through a Ruby on Rails API.
Today we worked on implementing a native share for an #android app running a web view. Through a #javascript interface we were able to trigger a native function from a #jquery click function on the website.
