3D Assets

During the process of learning how to create game ready assets for Sentenced we discovered that there are many methods that one can take in recreating real world objects and displaying them digitally. We have used our skills to assist with architectural projects, rendering 3D assets in a gaming environment or creating exact measurement 3D scans of certain environments. If you think we can assist with your project, give us a call.

Drone scanning

Here we are using drones for a method of architectural reconstruction called photogrammetry, where you take multiple Hi resolution photos of an object from different angles. We then run the photos through a few clever software packages that stitch them together and rebuild the object digitally in 3D with baked textures.

3D scan of a mine

This is a FARO 3D scan of a section in a mine that was scanned to assess the safety and structure of the area. This example reveals the detail and precise geometry generated with this technology.

3D scan of an oil and gas refinery

This is a point cloud generated from a 3D scan at an oil and gas refinery. For this scan we were testing semi-automated IA pipe and fixture generation with autodesk, revit and other integrations.

From drone footage to a 3D asset

We’re testing new updates from the dronedeploy app in conjunction with agisoft photo scan using a DJI drone to capture over 250 photos from a birds eye view, including perimeter photos for a more accurate scan. The drone deploy app is completely autonomous, you set a flight pattern over a map and go. The takeoff, flight, landing and picture taking is all done via the app which makes this a very viable solution for mining, agriculture, architecture, engineering and many other areas.

Creating a 3D dustbin through captured images

Here is another quick example of recreating real world objects digitally, with multiple photos taken from different angles. These photos were taken with an #iphone X camera, showing how affordable and easy it is to do. This method can be applied to many different industries and is used worldwide such as film, engineering, mining, gaming and many other industries.
